Today medical science supports the powerful healing affects of several natural healing therapies, many that have been in practice for over 5,000 years!  It has only been just recently that our Western science has become sophisticated enough to see into the body and measure the power of ancient practices.  Holistic evidenced-based practices in a Clinical Setting include meditation, breathing techniques, simple yoga asanas, stress relief for better sleep, mind-body balancing, and vital energy through nutrition.

Meditation is essential for overall wellness.  People use meditation for various health problems, such as anxiety, pain, depression, stress, insomnia, as well as physical or emotional symptoms that may be associated with chronic illnesses and their treatment.. The body of scientific evidence continues to grow and demonstrate the valuable health benefits  of meditation. There is an increased demand for highly qualified and competent teachers and therapists to provide healing practices to their  patients in order to help them heal faster, better and with less stress.

Breathing techniques can create profound biochemical changes in the the body that stimulate healing. Simple breathing techniques open our body and mind and offer us the ability to master our energy healing level.  There are a number of breathing techniques that can be learned and then voluntarily performed any time needed.  Different techniques are selected for different purposes.  Do you want to create energy? or Do you want to balance and relax? Maybe you wish to promote clarity?

Yoga asanas (postures) performed slowly and purposefully with breath allow us to use the movement of the body to balance and calm the mind.  Healing must start in the mind so this is an important practice in the clinical setting.

Finally, by selecting a nutrition program that nourishes our body and mind by providing vital energy to each cell of our body is a critical piece to Holistic evidence-based practices.  Different foods have different nutrients and qualities to bring to our body.  Learning how to select the right foods for your situation and specific needs can be a powerful pathway to healing.
