Meditation is essential to overall wellness. People use meditation for various health concerns, such as anxiety, pain, depression, stress, and insomnia. Meditation is also useful to reduce the physical or emotional symptoms that may be associated with chronic illnesses and their treatment.. As the body of scientific evidence that demonstrates the effectives of meditation continues to grow, there is an increased demand for qualified and competent teachers and therapists who can provide complementary health practices, such as meditation, to help patients heal faster, better, and with less stress.
This interactive program is designed to teach and provide powerful yet practical complementary and integrative tools to improve the healing process in order to meet the needs and demands of healthcare professionals working in clinical settings. This unique course is specifically designed to provide state of the art and proven applications for stress reduction including diaphragmatic breathing, mindfulness, focused awareness, and systematic relaxation to support patient care with scientifically supported clinical protocols.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:

2. Utilize skills learned to apply stress reduction techniques in clinical settings to help patients heal.
3. Describe three practical stress reduction methods to use in the clinical setting to reduce stress, overcome fatigue, and heal faster.
